About The Force of Magic
Growing up, some of my favorite books were fantasy series. From the Hobbit and the LOTR to the Shannara Chronicles, I love a good fantasy story. Our family listens to books in the car when we travel and the Force of Magic is my attempt to create something families might enjoy. I hope you’ll give it a try. The eBook is on sale for $.99 currently or free on Kindle Unlimited. It is targeted at YA, adults and families with a recommended reading level of 15 and up.

Early Reader Review of The Force of Magic - 5 Stars!
This is a story that can be read on several levels. On the surface, it is a magic laced fantasy which is original and engaging. The plot is a quest-based idea, but the characters do not know where they are going or why (kind of like life). The characters are unique in that they have had “magic” forced upon them. The antagonist of the story experiments with an “Elixir of Life” hoping to create an invincible army, but results are erratic and deadly. When he ekes out five subjects that survive the administration of his compound, he tries to keep them for further research, but they are all bent on escape save one. The story centers on two who are running from him, but manage to meet others who escaped earlier.
The story involves good and evil, but it also addresses free will, oppressive control, and sacrifice for the benefit of others. Interestingly, each chapter is preceded by a brief scriptural verse that gives the reader an insight as to what is going to happen in that chapter. However, I found its use a way of looking at life in general: that what happens to us in the here and now, has been written about before; I think it makes the bible a source unity and strength without becoming preachy: God’s word arcs over us all just as Magic arcs over this story.
