Reece wanted to take cover, but the kitchen provided little. He moved back into the kitchen, ducking down behind the kitchen island. He peered over the top to check the outside door and saw the barrel of a rifle moving around, seeking its target. As Reece heard gunshots behind him, he knew Al was busy with the other side, and he needed to have his back.
